Wool & The Gang were kind enough to send me one of their 'Top of the Pots' macrame kits. I love being creative, time is the only thing that ever holds me back so it was lovely to sit back, and get crafty with not a screen in sight. Knitting is also supposed to reduce stress and anxiety levels and improved dexterity as you give your hands and mind a work out at the same time.

The materials that Wool & the Gang use are sourced with consideration to reduce the impact on the environment. Wool is their favourite yarn as it's natural, renewable and biodegradable. They also work with fashion factories to repurpose their fashion waste into new yarns to reduce landfill.

Top of the Pots

House plants are having a bit of a moment and what better way to show of your prize foliage then in a macrame pot hanger. The Top of the Pots hanger provides a contemporary touch of boho-inspired charm whilst adding a fresh botanical feel to any space.

This pattern is recommend for macrame beginners, as the knot techniques are supposed to be more simple. I've never done this before and did find it a little tough so needed quite a lot of practise first, and a good few spare hours to put it together once I started getting the hang of it! At times it would be helpful to have a second person to help as it can all get a little fiddly. The kit comes complete with Wool and the Gang's Jersey Be Good yarn, made from fabric roll off-cuts from fashion factories in Turkey making the Top of the Pots truly one of a kind as it's been made with your own fair hands and no roll is the same.
Overall if you a a patient person looking to learn a new skill it's a great way to stretch yourself. I personally will stick to the knitting kits as I've been knitting since i was about 6 years old, so find it slightly more therapeutic!
