I popped along to the Heal's Modern Craft Market launch party last night to check out London's new and emerging design talent. The Craft market has now been running for fours years and this year they are focusing on the small-scale designers and makers who live and work in the wonderful city that is London.
It is an interactive exhibition, with a number of the designers and makers in store to provide live demonstrations, hands-on workshops and discuss the skills that go into the pieces on display. The list of exhibitors involved reflects the wide diversity of the city with everything from ceramics, gin-making, weaving, glassblowing, textiles to artisan soaps, which I was lucky enough to get a sample of!
Sipsmith: the first copper pot distillery in London for nearly two hundred years. They were on hand giving out refreshing Gin and Tonics and samples of their delicious Sloe Gin.
